Life’s Ray-Bans

I hope all is well with my velveteers, I just wanted to let you guys know that I pray for the club everyday, and it’s members. I appreciate your love and you’re helping me follow my dreams. So it’s only fair if I give a little advice on following your own. Once you’ve found what you love to do, that one thing that has a special place in your heart, something you would do for free, or go without water and food because it is just that fulfilling, take hold of it and nourish it. I refer to it as a child, it begins as an idea, the fetus, and you may carry this idea for months or years even, then finally the opportunity comes when you can give birth to this idea. This may be finally purchasing that vacant lot, creating your logo, or buying your first microphone, and at that moment of birth you are now responsible for the well-being of that dream. You feed it with hard work, determination, sweat, sacrifice, faith, and prayer, and as it begins to grow you must create a vision. It should be a vision of where you want that dream to be in chronological increments, 1 year, then 5 years, then 10, and you continue to feed it. Now the tricky part with vision is that it should never be set in stone, a vision is merely a sketch, we must remember that God is free to erase or re-sketch where he sees fit. A lot of individuals often get “tunnel vision,” where they can see nothing but what is in front of them, this often spells disaster because it creates a high margin for error, and we all have witnessed this occur. Once you have your dream and your vision, you push forward, jump over hurdles, walk through dark valleys, and never let anyone take your dream, after all you wouldn’t let anyone take your child would you? I can’t stress enough the importance of following your heart and doing what you love, so many people have become slaves to public perception and trending mindsets. If you don’t have anyone, you have God most importantly, and you have me, and I am going to be around for a while so feel free.
